Again this year, we are very fortunate to be bringing BOTH of our instructors from Greece! We are truly honored to have joining us once more, the very talented Kyriakos Moisidis from Thessaloniki, who will be presenting dances from the Macedonian regions of Goumenissa and Pella. Visiting the United States for her first time is our second instructor, Katerina Asteriou-Kavazi! A native of Drama, she will be sharing her knowledge of the region, exclusively the villages of Petrousa, Ksiropotamos, Kali Vrysi and Volakas.
But wait….there’s more! We are particularly excited because not only are our instructors from Greece but ALL of our musicians will be coming from Greece too! Entertaining us at the glendi Saturday evening will be an ENTIRE brass band playing music from Macedonia, Thrace, Epiros and more! It will be the most fun-filled weekend full of traditional song and dance that you won’t want to miss!
